  4. Don't attack the knees.
  5. Wear proper 16 oz gloves and proper shin pads.

When visiting another kickboxing gym and engaging in sparring, it is essential to exhibit proper etiquette for several reasons:

  1. Respect: Displaying good manners and etiquette demonstrates respect for the gym, its instructors, and fellow practitioners. It fosters a positive atmosphere and helps establish a foundation for building relationships within the kickboxing community.
  2. Safety: Proper sparring etiquette helps ensure the safety of all participants. Observing gym rules, controlling your intensity, and using appropriate protective gear can prevent unnecessary injuries.
  3. Learning: By adhering to the gym's etiquette and guidelines, you show that you're open to learning and respecting their training approach. This attitude makes it more likely that you'll gain valuable knowledge and improve your skills during your visit.
  4. Reputation: Your behavior reflects not only on you but also on your home gym and instructors. Exhibiting proper etiquette while sparring helps maintain a positive reputation for yourself and your training community.
  5. Encouraging sportsmanship: Good etiquette promotes a spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie among participants, making the experience more enjoyable and encouraging a supportive environment for growth and development.

By showing proper etiquette during sparring sessions at another kickboxing gym, you contribute to a respectful, safe, and productive training environment for everyone involved.
