All students and attendees of APJJ are expected to follow these codes of conduct.

Be on time and ready to train.

No shoes on the mat, barefoot only.

Appropriate footwear must be worn when not on the mats, and closed toed shoes must be worn when using the fitness equipment.

Wash your gi and belt, all personal equipment should be cleaned and maintained.

Personal hygiene is a must, please come to class clean with trimmed toe and finger nails.

Notify the instructor before class of any prior illness or injuries.

Please show up to class with the necessary equipment and appropriate training attire required. Loaner gear is only available for new students on a limited basis.

Watches, straps, buckles, necklaces, earrings, or other jewelry that can cause injury should not be worn during training.

Head gear, shin guards, boxing gloves, mouthpiece, & groin protector is mandatory for free sparring.

Be aware of your surroundings, especially other students on the mat at all times.

Absolutely no sparring or grappling allowed when an instructor is not present.

Only instructors may coach students during class.

Students must be approved by instructor in order to take advanced classes.

Bullying or unnecessary aggressive behavior at the gym is NOT tolerated.

Use of excessive force outside of the gym is unnacceptable and will not be tolerated. If you are found using excessive force that is NOT deemed self-defense, your membership will be terminated immediately.

Lastly, have fun! It is encouraged!
